Ashley Sweett
Ashley Sweett is a versatile dance artist from Vancouver, BC. Her ventures have steered her towards training and working professionally throughout Canada and abroad. Ashley was raised in Langley BC with a passion for the performing arts. She received countless awards and scholarships at a provincial level performer during and beyond her adolescent years. After graduating as a dance major from The Langley Fine Arts school, she trained in commercial dance with Source Dance Co. She then studied contemporary dance with Modus Operandi under the direction of David Raymond and Tiffany Tregarthen. She received training in acting at School Creative, Second City Hollywood and ACT2. Ashley founded Sweett Moves which has since led her to produce events such as "Bated Breath" and "Sweett Moves Summer Jam". She primarily enjoys working with dancers of all ages as a teacher, mentor, adjudicator and recognized choreographer both at home in Vancouver and internationally. Selected TV/FILM and live performance credits include Small Stages 35 (Heather Dotto), Disney (Paul Becker), Nickelodeon (Kelly Konno), Times of India Film Awards (Liz Tookey), Alliance Films, MUCH MUSIC, Michael Buble, PRP Productions and Goldwell Hair. Selected (co-)choreography and credits include Cirque du Soliel, FOXTV’s Lucifer (Kelly Konno), 2010 Olympic Winter Games, The Lovers Cabaret (Vanessa Young) and recording artists Little India and Hey Ocean.
