Callie Anderson
Callie has been dancing for most of her life, beginning her training right here at K&S in a variety of styles, including jazz, tap, ballet, musical theatre, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, and acro. She has completed training in both RAD ballet and the Al Gilbert Syllabus for jazz and tap. As a student, Callie participated in the student teaching program and assisted with choreography. Callie gained early teaching experience through the K&S Dance Sampler Program with the City of Port Coquitlam, where she taught jazz and hip hop classes to young children at the Hyde Creek Recreation Centre.
Callie began teaching at K&S in 2016 and now works both in the office and as an instructor. Her performance experience includes several local musical theatre productions, such as Purity in Anything Goes (RCMT), Ensemble in 13: The Musical (Bring On Tomorrow Co.), Rosie in Cabaret (RCMT), Ensemble in Mary Poppins (TUTS), and Ensemble in Singin’ in the Rain (RCMT). She has also led K&S hip hop programs across various elementary schools in School District 43.
In addition to her dance career, Callie holds a teaching degree and works as an elementary school teacher. In her spare time, she enjoys doing pilates, reading, and spending time with her dog, Nova.
