Mikhaila Abdou

Mikhaila has studied various styles of dance such as Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Hip Hop and Stage in the Lower Mainland since the age of 5. She has studied Cecchetti Ballet, achieving her Advanced 1 examination. As well, she has completed all of the Canadian Dance Teacher’s Association Acrobatic examinations with Honours with Distinction. Mikhaila had the opportunity to study at the Joffrey Jazz and Contemporary School based in New York City under the direction of Michael Blake.

Mikhaila started teaching at the age of 16 years and has been teaching ever since. She has assisted well known teachers and choreographers such as Breanna English, Megan Lawson, Jillian Meyers, Belinda Sobie, Will Johnston, Jocelyn Peden and Leigh Hilary Lee. Recently, she has had the opportunity to take on the role as a Dance Captain in shows such as Kaleidoscope on Parade and Hit the Deck at the Fair at the PNE.

As well, she loves any chance to perform and has had the pleasure of being featured in Hit the Deck, Kaleidoscope on Parade, Boogie Fever, Million Dollar Round Table Opening Ceremonies, 102nd Grey Cup Opening Ceremonies and Halftime Show, Women’s Worlds Softball Championship Opening Ceremonies and many other events. She hopes to continue her training in all styles of dance while performing and teaching.
