    CLASSES

    R.A.D. BALLET

Ballet is the basis of all dance.  The fundamentals of ballet are necessary to create strong and dynamic dancers.  The necessity of at least one weekly ballet class is strongly emphasized.  This builds up to five classes per week for students interested in developing their talent and performing skills.

    BABY BALLET

This is offered to young students (pre-school age) entering the world of dance. This is not a 'technical' dance form but rather a structured and fun'creative' dance.

    TAP

Tap develops excellent coordination, style and musicality.  Dancers develop a repertoire that is both expressive and fun.  The Al Gilbert graded system of dance is the basis of our classes.  This technique is well-known worldwide.  Yearly examinations are held each year by an Al Gilbert representative master in dance.  October is the yearly deadline for examination registration.

    JAZZ

Jazz is an exciting form of dance offered to students 6 years and older. Dancers develop coordination, musicality, flexibility and strength.  The Al Gilbert graded system of dance is also taught in our jazz classes as noted above in our Tap description.

    MODERN/CONTEMPORARY/LYRICAL

Modern, Contemporary and Lyrical are all styles of dance with free and natural movements, making use of dimensions of space.  Ballet is a requirement for students to enroll in any of these classes.

    MUSICAL THEATRE

Musical Theatre is the combination of singing, acting and dance giving students the opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of learning routines from popular musicals. It is recommended that students are enrolled in at least one jazz class to take musical theatre.

    HIP HOP

This is a stylized form of 'street dance' for students aged 6 and older.

    ACRO

Acro is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements.
